This Vintage Original Specification (VOS) guitar was handmade in Gibson’s Custom Shop using exactly the same parts and techniques as the 1957 original.
The caps are Bumblebee, the pickup coil uses the same gauge wire with the same number of turns as the original.
Yea, this is the backbone of rock and roll legend. No wonder the originals are priced out of reach!

A simply stunning Custom Shop Les Paul Junior VOS (1957 reissue) from Gibson. Finished in ‘TV Yellow’, this guitar plays as good as it looks and certainly lives up to its reputation as a high-class ‘rock’n’roll tone machine’
The Les Paul Jr is a lightweight guitar with an instantly recognisable tone, courtesy of the single P-90 pickup. With a big, fast neck and super-easy access to the upper frets courtesy of the single cutaway, this guitar is just built to wail with your best blues and classic rock licks.
This VOS guitar was built in 2008 at the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville and is in excellent condition, with more case candy than we’ve ever seen here at JGG. All the original documentation, hang tags, truss rod key and CS certificate are in the CS hard-case. Even get the key for the lock is there!
Clearly, well looked after by a single careful owner (a teacher in fact) there is almost no fret wear and we found just two ‘dings’ in the finish. This is a highly desirable guitar in wonderful playing condition and with all the meticulous attention to detail you’d expect from Gibson’s Custom Shop.
The sound is outstanding. Clean tones are rich and detailed, but just wait until you hear this Les Paul cranked up through a valve amp. Stunning rock and blues tones and a very rich almost endless sustain. By backing off the volume control, you can also achieve a great crunchy rhythm tone which can be easily turned up for solos.
A classic Gibson with a tone to die for and it won’t break your back on gigs either! Doesn’t get much better than that in our view.
