Peterson guitar amp P100G
Description
English made and top quality, this amp was John Etheridge’s #2 stage amp (hence the AMP 2 label on top!)
What you get from this amp is a very clean sound – a bit like the JazzAmp but the black vinyl-covered cabinet is heavier which richens the output. As with the JazzAmp you get proper EQ instead of tone-cutting tone controls.
The pictures show the amazing array of ports available at the back of this amp. You’ll notice too there are two channels plus reverb. The ports have not been tested, so are not guaranteed working. Only one channel is working and there’s no reverb. It’s possible that the reverb can be activated via the footswitch, but we don’t have one.
The bottom line is this is a small, top quality 100 watt amp that would suit a jazz player, at a fraction of the price of an AER, and 10 times the originality (I'll admit to getting a bit tired of that AER sound) I've been playing this amp for a few months and found it to be excellent. I've even grown to to enjoy the non-reverb sound!
