The last year of the 6122 before it became the 7670. Like the Gibson 335, the Country Gent has a solid block running partially through the guitar. This adds weight, improves the balance and helps add to that very distinctive Gretsch sound. The FilterTron pickups are the other vital ingredient of course and there’s something unmistakable about that sound.

This one’s faded down to a lighter shade closer to walnut then mahogany. The back binding has been repaired in places and the case is a bit tatty, but otherwise this guitar is in good original condition and in great playing order. George Harrison anyone?
