Description
An excellent and very desirable example of a Gibson-made (blue Kalamazoo label) Epiphone Granada in outstanding condition. Other than the case, this guitar is all original and clean to the point that you could eat your dinner off it, not that we’d recommend it. There’s hardly any wear on the frets, which are nice and big and it has a lovely feeling mid-sixties neck, measuring somewhere between 1-5/8” and 1-9/16” (It's slightly chunkier than the non-cut Granada we have.)
In common with the Gibson 120T, the Granada has all its electrics contained in the pickup moulding (hence the chunky cream pickguard.) The pickup is a single coil PU-380, the same as fitted to the Melody maker, which truly does leave an impression - give it some juice and a little distortion and you’ll be blown away by how incredible the Granada sounds.
There is light scuffing on the back, perhaps a music book was kept under the guitar in the case, and the case is not original.
