How futuristic this guitar must have seemed in the 60s, when the US launched the Telstar satellite and the Japanese Kawai factory made these guitars under the Tele-star brand. With its chrome pickguard and modernistic rocker switches for the "mics", Kawai / Teisco guitars were really very well made and are now highly collectible.

The chrome pickups produce a distinctive and very decent sound, the wammy bar has long since parted company with the body and the bridge is a solid bar type, with no compensation.

All in all, a great fun and pretty cool retro guitar!
