Gibson ES-175 D description

Smart and toneful vintage ES-175 with heavy player wear and lacquer checking. There used to be three micro switches fitted just forward of the bridge pickup’s volume control. These have now been removed and the holes filled. You can see where they were on the last photo. There’s a close-up of the f hole showing the lacquer checking. The previous owner must have had fingernails as he or she has managed to wear little hollows into the fretboard – also shown in close-up. The headstock has a small piece chipped-off top right, plus plenty of paint chips around the edges. The tuners, pickguard and truss rod cover are all new replacements.

So, now let’s talk about the good stuff:
What you have here is a very handsome 1966 Gibson ES-175 with the original pickups, bridge, zig-zag tailpiece, gold bonnet knobs and body. It plays and sounds exactly like a vintage 175. It has no neck breaks or resets. Really, a very fine player’s guitar, that will make a jazz or rock musician very happy.
