50s Gibson ES-125
Description
Good original guitar with plenty of honest player wear and tear. The back of the neck is a bit chewed but doesn’t feel as bad as it looks. Even the pickguard and knobs are present and original, as are all the nickel parts – it’s rare to get original working tuners on these guitars. Note that the tuner buttons have been replaced. All in all, a good piece with plenty of vintage character, and a real bargain price. As ever, these 125s are probably the best value vintage guitar you’ll find, and early ones like this with the fuller-sized Brazilian-faced rosewood neck are always a joy.
Strung with a set of D’Addario jazz 12s, this 50s jazz box really lives-up to its promise, delivering that classic P90 jazz tone.
